A lovely ferry ride away to the Bainbridge Island Pumpkin Patch and shopping in Paulsbo.
This was one of those incredible, smiley, happy days discovering happy new shops and restaurants with friends!
I have become a complete “glamper”.
That is, I like camping as long as it’s hot, with a clean lake that I can swim in, and there are clean showers, restrooms, and nearby stores, wineries and restaurants to visit should I need a magazine, a bottle of wine, or toenail polish. All this equals C H E L A N!
I wasn’t going to go this year. Elliott had a guys camping trip planned, but his camp buddy backed out and I was left to pick up the pieces. We persuaded our friends “the Talls” to join us for a day or two.
We normally go with a variety of friends, and have downgraded in the past few years to either skipping altogether, or now camping, which ends up being pretty awesome as you’ll see below!
An awesome sign in CleElum. A stopping point between Seattle and Chelan.
Beautiful view from one of our favorite wineries in Chelan, Nefarious.
This funny dog waits for you to come back to your car, then steals snuggles, pets and anything it can grab from your car while the door is open!
View from our campsite.
Yellow moments. Love the tab camper!
Awesome black beans in skillet!

afternoon banter, Kolina in tow.
The cutest little muskrat along the front of our campsite. A pet toad this little one found and kept overnight, and a visit from a pack of Yorkies.
After a day of boating, we end up at Tsillan Cellars for the incredible view and live music.
All in all a really wonderful last minute camping trip!
I just love it when Spring is in the Air! I check my garden for growth progress every day and it seems to take forever for my tulips to bloom!
But bloom they do and I enjoy every minute they’re around!
A few years ago I begged my husband to help me clear out the front yard so I can have a cut flower garden. It was formerly all capped evergreens, not so pretty! Now it yields the most lovely flowers! I l o v e having them ready for a fresh bouquet for a dinner party, bbq or birthday! These are some of my lovelies from Easter.
Easter brunch…d-lish!
An adorable little terrarium I created with some moss and clover from my front yard. I got the idea of course from Design Sponge, but only followed the concept of taking things from my yard.
I kept eyeballing this round little ball of moss and thinking how perfect it would be for this project. Add candy Easter eggs and VOIlA! Lovely centerpiece!
Some fabulous breakfast food accompanying my bacon….
Finally, I keep my flowers long after they should be released to the compost bin. I just love the way they look when they are faded. My husband always shakes his head and wonders what’s wrong with me!
Winter is such a blast for Elliott and I. We actually put our tree up in the first week of November! Our house is still a work in progress, and the tree is so bright, because it’s white, that it adds such a lovely light to our home. Some of my favorite moments from winter this year: My mantel, our New years party, my friend Megan and I, our friend Kolina sporting my krafty fashioned party accessories.
